Rachel & Michael’s engagement session was the epitome of a perfect fall engagement session. We started at Nicollet Island by the river, which has tall trees with so many pretty oranges/yellows. As the sun set further, we went over to St. Anthony main to get some more “urban” shots. The great part about St. Anthony Main’s urban areas is that you can still get a fall-feel with the historic buildings and leaves that have fallen. Overall, we had perfect sunshine and fall colors, and these two are so natural at posing with the other (making my job so easy!) 🙂

Their wedding is next June at Furber Farms in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. They described their day/decorations as being very “Joanna Gaines” with a dusty rose and dusty blue color scheme. I couldn’t be more excited for it!

Lastly, Rachel & Michael’s session was perfect for me to shoot a little film — I shot 1 roll of Fuji 400, and the scans turned out great! The film scans from their session show how beautifully film can handle highlights/harsh sunlight. Can you tell which photos are shot on film?!
