Chantel & Tucker’s wedding was some of the most fun I’ve ever had shooting a wedding. They approached me four weeks before their wedding and informed me that they wanted to surprise their guests by getting married at what they would think was just an engagement party. As overwhelming as it may seem to plan a wedding in four weeks, the day couldn’t have gone more perfectly.
The day started off with a cocktail hour at Interlachen Country Club. No one knew at this point, as Chantel wasn’t in her dress (she was in the cutest bridal jumpsuit I’ve ever seen!!) and people still thought they were at an engagement party. The guest made their way to Excelsior Bay to aboard the boat where the ceremony would be held.
On the boat, Chantel & Tucker made a welcome speech where Tucker finished off by announcing how they “really can’t wait to celebrate” and that they were getting married that night! After that moment, the rest of the night was filled with celebration and so much energy surrounding the two. Their ceremony was held on the roof of the yacht as the sun set on Lake Minnetonka behind them.
